Built around an old barn from the turn of the century this massive garden center in Champaign, Illinois has pragmatically evolved over the course of multiple additions and renovations. The design team and builders worked hand-in-hand to develop a concept which brought a traditional craftsman touch to the facility while emphasizing the unique character and history of the facility.

We carefully designed this residence to be at one with nature while integrating a contemporary design esthetic throughout. Exposed structural elements placed against a backdrop of glass provide a theme of authenticity, while unique details and intelligent use of light provide a playful sense of life throughout this contemporary prairie-style home.

A Design-Build project for one of Central Illinois’ most progressive restaurants, this 9,000 square foot facility features high-end architectural interiors, a fully equipped chef’s kitchen and state-of-the-art brewery facilities. A unique combination of hard woods and metallic finishes reflect the industrial undertones of the brewing process. Balancing the industrial motif with a soft color pallet and dynamic lighting results in a complex yet unified design which represents the unique character of the Owner’s business concept.
